I just recently returned from a site visit at the Rhode Island School of Design. I met with students and faculty that Charlie Cannon has mobilized to create the commission for Dialog:City - “Partly Sunny: Designs to Change the Forecast”. It was personally very rewarding to meet all of the unique students who are pushing themselves and the questions they are asking are deeply motivated by the ethical practice of design. Bruce Price, a friend and colleague from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design was able to join us for the critiques and conversation. This course and project, for the students, is an active way that they are taking their ideas and moving into a space of action. This visual exhibition of the RISD research will be held at the Denver Pavilions in downtown Denver.
